An intuitive, self-taught multi-instrumentalist musician, Arismar is known by the amazing way how he plays the guitar, the bass, the drums and the piano. His unique approach to compose and playing, using creative harmonies and unpredictable rhythms has been his trademark since he started as a professional musician 30 years ago.

His three CDs as a leader, “Foto do Satélite” (2006) “Estação Brasil” (2003) and “Arismar do Espírito Santo” (1994) - all through the label “Maritaca” - show his versatility as a musician and composer. Hermeto Pascoal, with whom Arismar has been playing on and off over the last two decades, considers him as one of the best bass players of our days. Also, among the top-ten Brazilian guitar players, according to the Guitar Player Magazine (1998), Arismar has been touring and recording with great Brazilian and international artists, such as: Hermeto Pascoal, Paquito D‚’Rivera, César Camargo Mariano, Jane Duboc, Raul de Souza, Hélio Delmiro, Dory Caymmi, Heraldo do Monte, Lenine, Joyce, Lisa Ono, João Donato, Leny Andrade, Paulo Moura, Toninho Horta, Yuka Kido, Naná Vasconcelos, Ze Renato, Leandro Braga, Cristovao Bastos, Marcos Suzano, Fatima Guedes, Nivaldo Ornelas, Luiz Eça, Filó Machado, Roberto Menescal, John Lee, Chango Farias Gomes, Satoshi Takeishi, Lucho Gonzales, among
many others.

Outside of Brazil, Arismar has been presenting his music in the USA, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, Portugal, Denmark and Japan.
